Ideal i8 Set to Roll Out Nationwide, Needs Truck Haulage to Deliver; CEO Li Xiang Toasts with Truck Drivers at Banquet: No Harm Intentioned, Safety Always First

Ideal i8 is set to roll out nationwide on August 20. As it needs trucks to haul Ideal i8 across the country before delivery, Ideal Automobile CEO Li Xiang invited truck drivers to a banquet two days prior.

According to social media, Li Xiang specially toasted with truck drivers from Longjiang. "I'll toast one cup," Li Xiang said, "As for the previous crash tests, they may have caused some discomfort to Longjiang users - unintentionally.".

"Let's toast and not collide in reality; safety will always come first," Li Xiang joked.

Prior to that, a video showcasing the collision between Ideal i8 and Longjiang truck was played at the release conference, sparking online buzz. Longjiang released posters responding to Ideal Automobile for several days before all parties - Ideal Automobile, Longjiang, and China Automotive Research Institute - jointly issued a statement and settled their dispute.
