Li Bin: NIO's Bottom Line Logic for Electric Vehicles' Lifecycles
August 16, NIO founder, chairman, and CEO Li Bin accompanied a new ES8 car team from Tibet to the Himalayas and launched a live broadcast. During the livestream, Li Bin mentioned that NIO's energy services can be charged, replaced, or upgraded, with its bottom-line logic being the cost and efficiency of electric vehicles throughout their lifecycles.
NIO has invested $1.8 billion in developing, constructing, and operating its energy system and charging infrastructure, aiming to enable users to use batteries in a healthier state, save money, and save time. NIO has five visions driving the company, starting from user benefits, design-driven innovation, continuous improvement, systematic efficiency, and transcendent user experience. When making decisions, NIO considers both short-term local costs and efficiencies as well as long-term global costs and efficiencies throughout the vehicle's lifecycle. This underlying idea may not be immediately understood by everyone, but with time, it will become clear.
