MI YU7 Camera Overheating, Zero-Gravity Seat Adjustment Issues? Official Response
Phoenix Network Technology News August 5, MI Automobile released its 189th batch of answers to netizens' questions, addressing recent user concerns about OTA upgrades adding new functions, scheduling changes, and issues with MI YU7 zero-gravity seats adjusting and 4K camera overheating.
Regarding the highlights of recent OTA upgrades, officials introduced this update as adding a "customizable button" feature to the "smart key". After the upgrade, users can personalize the fourth button on the smart key by setting it to functions such as opening charging ports, seeking vehicles with flashing lights and alarm sounds, or opening the trunk. However, please note that this function requires updating the MI Automobile app to version 1.16.2 or higher.
Regarding the scheduling of OTA upgrades, officials stated that this update adds automatic updating functionality, supporting rescheduling and one-time scheduling for all subsequent versions, significantly improving the convenience of updates.
As for users' concerns about MI YU7 zero-gravity seats adjusting, MI Automobile responded that after completing zero-gravity seat adjustment, users can still customize the backrest, seat cushion, and leg rest positions. After customization, clicking "save this position" on the center screen will memorize the zero-gravity seat position, which will automatically adjust to the remembered position when entering zero-gravity mode again. Note that the main driver's seat memory follows the user account, while the secondary driver's seat memory is stored with the vehicle, and MI YU7 supports installing a main or secondary driver's zero-gravity seat.
Additionally, some users have asked about the normalcy of the 4K camera overheating during use. Officials clarified that this is a normal phenomenon and will not affect product safety or lifespan. According to the introduction, the 4K camera uses an integrated aluminum alloy casing design, allowing internal heat to quickly and evenly distribute to the surface; compared to common plastic casings, the aluminum alloy casing dissipates heat faster, resulting in a higher perceived temperature. Furthermore, this camera has undergone multiple verifications and can continuously operate at around 70°C environment and store normally for about 85°C environment.
