Navigating Low-Flying Aerial Vehicles! "Aerial Version" of Gaode Map Arrives
【River Financial Cube Reporter Chen Wei】July 30, Gaode Map announced that it will cooperate with Longgang District, Shenzhen City, in the fields of low-altitude economy, intelligent driving, and real-time delivery, and launch a "Aerial Gaode" project in Longgang District.
The "Aerial Gaode" project will become a comprehensive digital foundation covering the entire range of ground and low-altitude areas, building a three-dimensional "Gaode Map" that integrates human-earth, navigation, meteorological, and airspace data, providing data services, user services, and industrial services to low-altitude core commercial participants, covering all links of low-altitude activities before, during, and after flight.
Longgang District was chosen because it is a key area for the development of Shenzhen's low-altitude economy, with over 125 takeoff and landing platforms for low-flying aerial vehicles built and 217 air routes opened, with more than 300,000 flight instances.
In terms of scenario applications, Longgang has formed and efficiently operated multiple application systems including medical delivery, logistics hubs, tourist experiences, emergency rescue, and smart city inspections. At the same time, Longgang has gathered over 150 low-altitude economy upstream and downstream enterprises, forming a complete industrial ecosystem.
The "Aerial Gaode" project has landed in Longgang District with an 9 billion yuan industry fund, attracting more than 10 low-altitude ecological enterprises to gather and jointly conduct technology research and development work.
This project will form a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation information system covering the entire area of 388 square kilometers in Longgang District, below 600 meters above sea level, integrating ground traffic, low-altitude airspace, and flight routes, forming an "alive map" in the air that can achieve safe inspections, low-altitude logistics, emergency firefighting, tourism, etc.
The Longgang District "Aerial Gaode" project will be the first stop for Gaode Map's exploration of low-altitude economy, and future plans include further deepening research and development in multiple fields including low-altitude economy, intelligent driving, smart traffic, ride-hailing, real-time delivery, and robotics.
