New CEO of Changan Automobile Group, Chairman of Huawei
August 9th evening, Changan Automobile (000625) Chairman Zhu Huaweng posted a microblog, stating that he visited Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei on August 8th to discuss the industry trend and future competitive landscape.
Ren Zhengfei also provided targeted and guiding opinions on Changan Automobile, Avita brand, etc.
Zhu Huaweng said: "I was deeply impressed by Ren's vision, scope, wisdom, and passion. I benefited greatly from our conversation."
It is understood that Avita was established in 2018 as a joint venture between Changan Automobile and Weilai Motors (initially known as "Changan-Weilai"). After Weilai's exit in 2021, Avita introduced Huawei and NIO (300750) as two major strategic investors, forming the "CHN (Changan-Huawei-NIO)" collaborative model.
It is worth noting that this was Zhu Huaweng's 11th day since taking office as CEO of Changan Automobile Group.
This year, on July 29th, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission website released a notice on adjusting the job responsibilities of 10 leading personnel from three central enterprises. Among them, Zhu Huaweng was appointed as Secretary-General and Chairman of Changan Automobile Group; Zhao Fei as Vice-Secretary-General and Director; Tan Benhong as Vice-Secretary-General and Director; Jia Lishan, Deng Wei, and Deng Yueming as Standing Committee members, nominated for Deputy General Manager; Wang Kun as Standing Committee member, nominated for Chief Accountant; and Pu Xingchuan as Standing Committee member, nominated for Deputy General Manager.
On the same day, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission website released an announcement stating that the company has been established with the approval of the State Council, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will represent the State Council to perform its capital role, and list it in the name list of enterprises representing the State Council's capital role.
