OpenAI's China Patent Application for Two GPT-5 Trademarks Rejected, Review Pending
Viewpoint News: On August 11th, OpenAI, a US artificial intelligence company, had its GPT5 series trademark application rejected by the National Intellectual Property Administration of China, with the case entering a review process.
According to Viewpoint New Media's latest information, EU AI Operating Limited Company has submitted two "OPENAI GPT-5" trademark applications, covering international classifications for website services and scientific instruments, with the current status displayed as "Waiting for Rejection Review."
At the same time, the company also applied for two "GPT-5" trademarks, with the same classification, and both statuses are displayed as "Rejected for Review." Additionally, a certain technology company in Shenzhen previously attempted to register two "GPT-5" trademarks but was rejected and declared invalid.
