Qualcomm VP Hou Mingjuan Speaks at ChinaJoy, Launches AI-enabled Glasses with Xiaomi!
August 1st to August 4th, the 22nd ChinaJoy will officially open its doors in Shanghai New International Expo Center. Qualcomm's Global Vice President Hou Mingjuan delivered a speech at CDEC Summit, emphasizing the global digital entertainment ecosystem's prosperity. She revealed some data: the global gaming market revenue reached $18.27 billion in 2024, with mobile games growing by 5.5% and PC games by 4.4%, while VR devices installed globally reached 28.6 million. Information entertainment applications are leading the development of car-mounted application markets.
She noted that Qualcomm's Snapdragon platforms have been continuously released for various terminals, including phones, PCs, handheld devices, cars, and XR, which are all contributing to the overall prosperity of the digital entertainment ecosystem.
"AI has brought new opportunities to a wide range of digital entertainment terminals."
Hou Mingjuan believes that with AI's development, it will change the way users interact with devices, bringing new interaction experiences and enhancing user productivity. On site, Hou Mingjuan wore Xiaomi AI glasses, mentioning that the glasses integrated Qualcomm's chip research and brought users a range of experiences including battery life and intelligence.
